How to make Fish Curry using bottle gourd - Old Indian Kitchen

Summer is coming. We are going to lose our appetite to have spicy dishes๐Ÿ˜œ.Yeah, its a perfect time to learn some belly soft dishes. The dish I am going to explain is the most peaceful one. In the same dish, you will get the both non-veg taste and tummy cooling effect. So lets start and enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • Bottle Gourd 1 (young and medium size).
  • Oil.
  • Panch phoron 1 tbsp ( panch phoron is a mixer of  methi, sof ,black cumin seed, black mustard seed and cumin seed).
  • Fish Fry 4 piece.
  • Turmeric.
  • Salt.
  • Sugar
  • Squeezed lemon 4 tbsp.

    Grate bottle gourd 

Recipe with bottle gourd and fish:

  1. First wash and peel the bottle gourd.
  2. Grate the bottle gourd using grate box.
  3. Meanwhile marinate the fish pieces with turmeric, salt and fry them well with less oil 1/2 tbsp.

  4. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a deep cooking pot.
  5. Add 1 tbsp of panch phoron.
  6. Once panch phoron starts hissing, just add the grated bottle gourds.

  7. Stir them well. Add 1 tbsp of turmeric, salt and sugar 1/3 tbsp.

  8. Cover them for 5 to 7 minutes.
  9. Check repeatedly, once bottle gourd is become eatable, add two cups of warm water.

  10. Once dish starts boiling, add the fish pieces.

  11. Allow the dish to boil for more 7 minutes.
  12. Turn off the gas and mix 4 tbsp of squeezed lemon juice.

Yes, your tummy cooling dish is ready, serve warm with steam rice and enjoy your upcoming summer.

2.It very easy to use pach phoron in preparing lenthils.

4.It is usefull in preparing pickles.

Delicious Rohu Machor Phulkobi jhol( fish curry with Indian cauliflower,green peas,potato and tomato) - Old Indian Kitchen

How To Make a Tasty and Healthy Fish Curry? - Old Indian Kitchen.  

                               Good evening all.Welcome to Old Indian kitchen cooking.   

Rohu (Labeo rohita) is a very tasty fish found in the rivers.
There are lots of ways that we can make fish curries.
But today I am going to share one recipe which is less spicy, colorful, healthy and also very tasty.๐Ÿ˜‹


Fish Curry using different vegetable - Old Indian Kitchen

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower small pieces 50 grams
  • Fresh Green peas 20 grams
  • Chilly 1
  • Potato small pieces 20 grams
  • Tomato 1 with medium pieces
  • Rohu fish 4 pieces
  • Chop Onions 2 
  • Cumin seed 
  • Turmeric powder 
  • Cumin powder 1tbsp
  • Salt 

Recipe:

  1. Marinate the fish pieces with 2 tbsp of turmeric powder, little salt and 1/2 tbsp mustard oil.
  2. Tawa fry all the fish pieces(both sides) with 3 tbsp of mustard oil for 7 minutes.
  3. Simultaneously, in another cooking pot(Karahi), heat 5 tbsp of mustard oil.
  4. Add 1 tbsp of cumin seed to the hot oil and then add onions, chilly; fry them together for 4 minutes in low heat
  5. Add 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder.
  6. Add one handful of potatoes, one handful cauliflower, one handful green peas to the Karahi.
  7. Mix them well by ladle, fry them properly.
  8. Add 1 tbsp of cumin powder and mix them well.
  9. Add salt for taste.
  10. If vegetables become soft, then add the tomatoes. Cover the Karahi for 3 minutes.
  11. Check repeatedly if vegetables are cooked properly. Once cooked, add 2 cups of hot water.
  12. Once it starts boiling, add all the fishes to the curry.
  13. Increase the heat and wait for 5 minutes.
  14. Delicious fish curry is ready .
  15. If you wish, you can garnish the curry with fresh coriander leaves and serve with steam rice.
