How to make soft spongy rasgulla at home - Old Indian Kitchen

Today we are going to prepare a very popular Indian sweet. Yes, we are going prepare some soft spongy rasgullas. Its quiet an easy recipe and you can prepare it with less effort & less ingredients. Hope you will enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • Milk 1 litter
  • Sugar 100 grams
  • Water 500 ml
  • Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Maida 1 tbsp

Recipe:

  1. Boil the milk in a container.
  2. Add vinegar.
  3. Milk will be curdled within 5 minutes.
  4. Allow it to cool in room temperature.
  5. Drain the water and collect the cheese in a clean kitchen cloth.
  6. Tie up the cloth and refrigerate it for 1 hour.
  7. After 1 hour, take out the cloth.

  8. Take out the milk cheese from the cloth.

  9. Make smooth dough with that milk and 1 tbsp of maida.

  10. Make small balls from the dough.

  11. Meanwhile make the sugar syrup using 95 grams of sugar and 300 ml water, boil the mixer until sugar is completely melted.
  12. Take out the sugar syrup in a bowl.
  13. Now add water to a cooking pan and add 2 tbsp of sugar.
  14. Add the milk balls.
  15. Allow them to boil for 12 minutes.
  16. Now take out all the rasgullas from the boiled water and add all to the sugar syrup.
  17. Allow 1 hour to cool in room temperature and serve homemade rasgullas to your friends.
