How to make Chicken Momos - Old Indian Kitchen

Today, I am in a mood to have some hottie hottie mouth-watering juicy dish.Yeah, I am going to make some beautiful, delicious Momos. Hope you will enjoy to learn this dish, happy cooking guys, have lovely Sunday evening.😘



Momos with chicken stuffing

You should have one of the following arrangements to prepare Momos

  • Rice cooker with steamer bucket
  • Idly stand
  • Momos stand.

Ingredients:

  • Maida or all purpose flour 3 cups/ 150 grams.
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1/3 tbsp
  • Chicken boneless pieces 40 grams
  • Freshly chopped onions 3
  • Chopped Ginger 1 tbsp.
  • Spring Onions (optional)

Recipe:

  1. Take one bowl and add Maida.
  2. Add oil and salt.
  3. Add water.
  4. Try to make one smooth soft paste or ball.
  5. Cover the ball a wet light cloth.
  6. Meanwhile, you have to prepare the stuffing to fill the Momos.
  7. Grind all the chicken for 2 minutes in the food processor.
  8. Heat 1/2 tbsp of oil in pan and fry the meats in low heat.

  9. Add normal onions 2 tbsp and 1/2 tbsp of spring onions, add salt for taste.
  10. Fry all for 5 to 7 minutes.

  11. Now take out all in a bowl and mix the remaining onions and ginger.
  12. Now the delicious stuffing is ready.

  13. Make small balls from Maida with 3 cm diameter.
  14. Now, its time to roll out the small Maida balls.
  15. Roll out all the balls until it becomes light.

  16. Now add 1 tbsp of chicken stuffing in each roll out.
  17. Press to seal and give a beautiful shape as you wish.
  18. Make all the Momos with chicken fill.

  19. Now its time to steam all, I am going use rice cooker for steaming.
  20. Add 1/2 litter water in steamer pot, that is the lower part of the cooker.
  21. When the water stars boiling, add one bucket and arrange the Momos inside it.

  22. If required, add the second bucket and arrange the remaining Momos.
  23. Cover the cooker and steam them 30 to 35 minutes.

  24. After that, take out all in a plate.
  25. Serve hot with chicken soup and any sauce of your choice.
** I made one special Momos Chutney for this dish, I will share that recipe later.

3.Garlic and mustard oil hot mixer is very good for massage.

Pach Phoron and benefits:
 Panch Phoron is a combination of five spices in a equal amount, named fenugreek seed, nigella seed or kalonji, cumin seed, black mustard seed and fennel seed.

1.You will get benifits of five seeds in a same time in one recipe.
2.It very easy to use pach phoron in preparing lenthils.
3.It will satisy your taste because all the seeds have different, nice flavour.
4.It is usefull in preparing pickles.

Fenugreek seed benefits:
1.It is good for high bp patient.
2.It is also benificial for diabetic patient.
3.It helps to reduce cholesterol.
4.It helps to relieve sore throat pain and cough.

Black mustard seed benefits:
