How to make Peanuts Chaat or Peanuts Masala- Old Indian Kitchen.

Peanuts masala - Old Indian Kitchen

Peanut or groundnut is very healthy. We can take peanuts in couple of ways (raw peanuts,roasted peanuts,peanuts chutney etc). Raw peanut itself is a interesting dish, I see many people chewing raw peanuts while they are at work. But my favorite is roasted peanuts. So, I planned one recipe  to mix the raw and roasted peanuts together to create a unique great taste.


Ingredients:

  • Raw peanuts 100 grams
  • Roasted peanuts 100 grams
  • Chop Tomato 2
  • Chop Onion 1 (medium size)
  • Fresh Ginger 1/4 tbsp.
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Squeezed Lemon 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Catch chat masala 1/2 tbsp
  • Chop Chili 2 (small pieces)
  • Pepper powder 1/4 tbsp
  • Chop coriander leave 
  • Salt

Recipe:

  1. In cooking pot add 100 grams of raw peanuts and add turmeric for nice color.
  2. Boil or microwave them for 3 minutes.
  3. Drain the water.
  4. Take out the peanuts in a glass bowl.
  5. Add all the tomatoes, onions, chilies,ginger, cumin powder, chat masala and pepper powder.
  6. Add 50 grams roasted nuts to bowl and grind 50 grams roasted nuts as powder.
  7. Now add the nuts powder to bowl.
  8. Add salt for taste.
  9. Add 1 tbsp of mustard oil.
  10. Mix them well with your hand or spoon.
  11. If you wish, garnish the dish with coriander leaves and add 1/2 tbsp of  squeezed lemon.
  12. Peanut masala is ready to eat, serve it with tea or cold-drinks.

Pach Phoron and benefits:
