How to make raitha - Old Indian Kitchen




Hello everyone, welcome back to your old Indian Kitchen.



Today, we are going to make a simple carrot raitha. Raitha is an essential item to complete the Indian Thali. In south India, people serve raitha with biriyani, paratha and any other heavy meals. Actually, it is a very tummy cooling  dish. If you take raitha after any spicy or heavy food, you will feel lighter.
It will reduce all the issues of tummy and make your tummy feel happy.

Carrot Raitha

Ingredients:

  • Curd 50 grams or 1 cup
  • Water 1 cup or 100 ml
  • Chopped onions 3 tbsp
  • Grated carrot 2 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Chat masala 1/2 tbsp
  • Black salt 1/4 tbsp

Preparation time:

15 minutes

Total time:

15 minutes

Recipe:

  1. Take one glass bowl.
  2. Add the curd and water.
  3. Mix them very nicely.
  4. Make all very  smooth.
  5. Add the grated carrot.
  6. Add the onions.(if you love chili, then please add chopped chili 1)
  7. Mix well.
  8. Add salt as per your taste.
  9. Add chat masala.
  10. Add black salt and mix all properly.

We are using some basic ingredients in almost all the recipes. Here, we will try to mention all the benefits of each ingredient.

Pach Phoron and benefits:
