Lauki ki sabji - Bottle Gourd Dry sabji - Old Indian Kitchen

How to cook Bottle Gourd sabji - Old Indian Kitchen



Welcome back guys.


Today, in breakfast time I cooked bottle gourd sabzi with mustard seed and split moong daal. The dish was very delicious and I carried it too for my lunch time. It is an easy recipe. So, I thought of sharing it with all of you.
lauki ki sabji

Ingredients:

  • Fresh raw bottle gourd 1.
  • Chopped onion 1.
  • Split yellow dry moong daal 1 tbsp.
  • Yellow mustard seed 1/2 tbsp
  • Chili 1
  • Turmeric powder 1 tbsp.
  • Salt
  • Sugar 1/3 tbsp.
  • Mustard oil 3 tbsp.

Recipe:

  1. Wash and peel the bottle gourd.
  2. Make small pieces of it.
  3. Heat oil in deep cooking pan.
  4. Add onions, mustard seed and split moong daal.
  5. Fry them for 3 minutes in low heat.
  6. Crunch the mustard seeds by pressing with the ladle.
  7. Add turmeric.
  8. Mix them well.
  9. Add the vegetable.
  10. Add sugar and salt.
  11. Fry them for 4 minutes and cover them.
  12. Check repeatedly and if required add a very little amount of warm water.
  13. Dry out the water.
  14. Your delicious sabzi will be ready in 25 minutes.

  15. Serve it with chapati or rice-daal.
