Palak egg Curry - Spinach egg curry - Old Indian Kitchen

Palak egg curry recipe - Old Indian Kitchen


Welcome back guys.



Today, we are going to make an unique recipe named "Palak egg curry".  Previously I shared one recipe Palak paneer, which is almost similar with the today's recipe. Just we are using eggs instead of paneer.

Palak egg

Ingredients:

  • Palak / Spinach 3 bunch.
  • Fresh chopped  Onions 1 handful.
  • Chili 2.
  • Fresh  chopped Garlic 2 tbsp.
  • Fresh ginger paste 1/4 tbsp.
  • Mustard oil /Refine oil 2 tbsp.
  • Turmeric 1 tbsp.
  • Salt.
  • Sugar.
  • One peeled potato.
  • Chopped tomato 2 tbsp.
  • Egg 2.
  • Cumin seed 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tbsp

Recipe:

For eggs:
  1. In an empty cooker, I apply 1/2 tbsp of oil in the bottom.
  2. Beat two eggs and mix the white and yellow part perfectly.
  3. Put all in pressure cooker and allow one whistle only.
  4. When pressure cooker release its gas, I make medium pieces of the eggs and keep them for curry.
For gravy:
  1. Wash and clean the Palak leaves.
  2. Place the leaves inside a microwave safe bowl with 1/2 tbsp of salt and sugar and 1/2 cup of water.
  3. Cut the potato and add it with the Palak to boil them together.
  4. Microwave them for 10 minutes.
  5. Take out the green leaves to a grinder jar without water,
  6. Grind all the leaves until become smooth.
  7. Heat oil.
  8. Add the cumin seeds, onions and garlic, ginger, chilies, tomatoes to the oil.
  9. Fry all together in low heat.
  10. Add turmeric and cumin powder.
  11. Stir them well.
  12. Now add the boiled potato and press it with the ladle.
  13. Crunch the potato into small pieces with the ladle.
  14. Now add the green smooth Palak paste.
  15. Stir them well.
  16. After 3 to 4 minutes, just add the warm water from the bowl (the remaining water where all leaves are boiled).
  17. Once dish start boiling, check the salt and add as per your requirement.
  18. Now add the eggs pieces and mix them well.
  19. After 4 minutes of boiling, turn off the heat.
  20. Serve it warm with steam rice or chapati.
Note:
We are using some basic ingredients in almost all the recipes. Here, we will try to mention all the benefits of each ingredient.

4.Onion (raw onion)keep your heart healthy by reducing the production of bad cholestrol.

3.Garlic and mustard oil hot mixer is very good for massage.
4.It is very good for high blood pressure.

Pach Phoron and benefits:
 Panch Phoron is a combination of five spices in a equal amount, named fenugreek seed, nigella seed or kalonji, cumin seed, black mustard seed and fennel seed.
Benifits:
1.You will get benifits of five seeds in a same time in one recipe.
2.It very easy to use pach phoron in preparing lenthils.
3.It will satisy your taste because all the seeds have different, nice flavour.
4.It is usefull in preparing pickles.

Fenugreek seed benefits:

2.It is also benificial for diabetic patient.
3.It helps to reduce cholesterol.
4.It helps to relieve sore throat pain and cough.
5.It is very good for new mothers.

Black mustard seed benefits:
1. It is good for skin and hair.
2.It fights against infection.
3.Mustard seed slows ageing.
4.Also mustard seed can prevent many disease.

Nigella or kalonji seed benefits:
1.It is very helpful in different disease.

Fennel seed benefits:

3. It is good for eyesight.
4. It helps purify blood.

Garam masala (Mixer of cinnamon + cloves + cardamom) benefits:
