How to make baby corn dry Manchurian - Old Indian Kitchen
This is one of those foods which attracted me so much due to its lucrative look! Finally I got its taste in 2003 😄. But I was still wondering if I could prepare it myself. The day came finally when I dared to do that! To my utmost happiness, all my friends really liked it and asked me share the recipe. Hence I am sharing the same.
Ingredients:
- Baby corn 70 grams
- Cornflour 5 tbsp.
- Chopped Ginger 1 tbsp.
- Chopped Onion 3 tbsp.
- Chopped Garlic 2 tbsp.
- Chopped chili 2.
- Soya sauce 2 tbsp
- Tomato ketchup 2 tbsp
- Salt
- Vegetable oil
- Chopped Spring onions/ fresh coriander leaves 1 handful.
Recipe:
- Wash and cut the baby corns by half.
- Boil them in water for 10 minutes.
- Drain out the water.
- Marinate all the corns using cornflour, water, 1 tbsp soya sauce and little salt.
- Heat 4 tbsp of oil in a cooking pan.
- Deep fry all the corns in a non sticky pan and keep them aside.
- Now add the onions, chili, garlic and ginger in the same oil.
- Saute them well.
- Add 1 tbsp of soya sauce and tomato ketchup.
- Mix them well.
- Add 100 ml water if required and add the fried corns.
- Dry out the water.
- All process will take 25 to 30 minutes.
- Take out all in a plate and garnish the dish with spring onions/ fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve it hot as a starter.
